Charter Fishing with Outside Hilton Head
In-shore fishing focuses on the local Redfish (also called Red Drum or Spot-Tail Bass). Spin or fly casting is available with expert guides in flats boats or power catamarans appropriate to group size and conditions.
Near-shore and Off-shore fishing varies considerably with the season, ranging from sport fishing for Tarpon, Cobia, Spanish & King Mackeral, Bluefish, Ladyfish, and more.
Winter Fishing Report:
Winter in the waters around Hilton Head provides a unique opportunity for light tackle and Fly fishing. December through March, Redfish school up on the inshore mud flats in large numbers.These fish are in the two to twelve pound range and provide one of the best light tackle opportunities around. Shallow draft "flats" boats allow the angler to stalk the shallows and sight cast to large schools as well as individual fish. Outside Hilton Head books the best. Captain Jimmy Reese on his 18 ft. Hews can guide customers to his favorite flats all winter long. It is a great opportunity for both the master angler as well as the novice!
